Malcolm Stubbs, MD, is a skilled orthopedic surgeon and shoulder specialist practicing at Lafayette Bone & Joint Clinic.

A native of Pride, Louisiana, Dr. Stubbs earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Louisiana State University and his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He was fellowship-trained at the Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center, and was an on-staff orthopedic surgeon with the U. S. Air Force, stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. He served as the Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at LSU, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing resident training and ensuring high standards of patient care. His role as Chief Resident helped shape his comprehensive skills in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Stubbs is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Louisiana Orthopaedic Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, Acadiana Orthopaedic Society, and Lafayette Parish Medical Society. He specializes in sports medicine; arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee; shoulder reconstruction and replacement; and hip and knee replacement. In his free time, Dr. Stubbs enjoys a variety of hobbies including tennis and hunting. In addition to recreational interests, he is also a certified pilot, showcasing his love for adventure and precision. Despite his diverse pursuits, his greatest passion is his family, with whom he enjoys spending quality time.
